Just working on simple game art assets in Blender
My original idea above. I realized the ground needed some work so I found better fitting textures.
I started to think play around with an idea for a "fire & ice" scene. I found a cool ice texture and color ramped it into a beautiful fire looking vase. I thought the background felt slightly dull, so I added some lighting to add texture. Originally, I was going for a beach cave but the ice and marble texture seemed to naturally go together so I get a bit carried away. Still quite a lot of fun thinking of how I can reuse art assets.
Did I need that much light? No, but I like messing with lighting. The nice thing about Blender is Eevee let's me render all this in real time, so I can easily render glass and reflections without waiting. The settings also transfer pretty well over to Unity.
